Ian in 1997:
After graduating from Newark Valley, Ian attended Amherst College in Massachussets, where he majored in Neuroscience. Not sure that he wanted to attend medical school, he moved to Seattle. This was right at the time when Nirvana and Pearl Jam were unknown bands, and Seattle seemed like a cool place to live. Ian travelled around Thailand before settling back down in Seattle and taking a job with a kids' television show, "Bill Nye the Science Guy." As one of the show's writers, Ian won a National Emmy award this year for "Outstanding Writing in a Children's Series." Ian has also written for other TV shows, including the "Magic School Bus" and "Arthur." He is engaged to be married to Alissa Kozuh, another Newark Valley graduate, who he didn't know in high school, but is very glad he met.

Favorite memory: Every State Championship Cross Country Race with Kevin, Mark, and Frank.

Ian in 2007:
Alissa and I have been married for nine years and both of us continue to live and work in Seattle. Alissa is pursuing her M.B.A. at night while working full-time during the day for nordstrom.com. After the Bill Nye show ended its run, I co-founded an advertising agency working for clients as varied as Microsoft and Boys & Girls Clubs of America. Our company's work spans interactive media, print, film and video, entertainment, installation, education and live events. In my free time?! I enjoy working on remodeling my house, which I completely gutted and restored. I also enjoy running, cooking, traveling and snowboarding. I look forward to our August reunion and reconnecting with friends and classmates.
